These are suitable for those aged 5 years and over.

The cost includes a 30 minute group lesson with a NISA qualified instructor, skate hire and the public session following the lesson.

You can also speak to our Receptionist about our Easy Pay Direct Debit System, which gives you even greater savings and you are automatically enrolled onto the next course and the correct level.

Courses run continuously throughout the year. All participants on the current courses get priority booking onto the next set of courses.

Intense Courses

Our Intense course runs every school holiday during the public sessions.

Courses are suitable for those aged 5 years and over. The course is suitable for Levels 1 & 2.
This is a perfect way to introduce your kids to Ice Skating.

The cost includes:

  • 30 minute group lesson with a NISA qualified instructor
  • skate hire
  • Remaining time on the public session following the lesson.

Adult Courses

These are run on a Friday morning at 10:30 during the public session. The cost incldues a 30 minutes group lesson with a NISA qualified instructor, skate hire and the remainder of the public session following the lesson.

Tots Club

Learn more

Bring your tot (3-5 years old) to our course on Sunday morning from 10:30 until 11:00.

Tot’s club will boost your child’s confidence on the ice and introduce them to a different form of lay, all with the help from a fully qualified NISA coach who has plenty of experience with young children.

£30 for 3 sessions – enrol continuously.

Payment Options

You can pay for each course every 6 weeks, known as pay as you go. Or you can sign up to our Direct Debit* scheme for a discounted price. The Direct Debit payments will be collected monthly and are subject to terms and conditions.

Intense Courses

Times & Prices

Our Intense Courses run every school holiday during the public sessions. Each lesson runs for 30 minutes a day for four or five consecutive days. The course is suitable for Level 1 & 2; it is a perfect way to introduce your kids to Ice Skating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What do I need to wear?
A. Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate for physical activity, ideally no denim or shorts.

Q. How old do you have to be to join the Learn to Skate courses?
A. The minimum age is 5 years old. There are tots sessions for 3 to 5 year olds.

Q. Where do we wait to meet the coaches?
A. Please put your skates on. Follow on to the rink side. Once rink side the Head Coach will meet and direct you from here. Please note this is only on week one. If you join after week one, please speak with a member of staff at the reception.

Q. Do I have the same coach on every course?
A. Coaches teach the full six weeks of courses and change for the start of week one. This is subject to change and coaches’ availability.

Q. Do I need my own skates?
A. No, you don’t need your own skates, you can use the hire skates, which are included pricing of the course.

Q. How many people will be in my lesson?
A. Group lessons can have up to 15 skaters per coach.

Q. What if I miss a lesson?
A. If you will miss a lesson, please let your coach know. You cannot replace your lesson with different day or time and no refund will be given. If this is happening on a week 6 (assessment week), please make your coach aware week before, so they can try to asses you that lesson.

Q. How do I know what level to book on to?
A. Everyone starts at Level 1. You will be assessed when you get onto the ice, and according to your ability, you are transferred into the relevant level to your abilities.

Q. How long will it take to pass the levels?
A. Our coaching team will try aid you through the levels as quickly as possible. Please note that your progression is based on your individual abilities and time to given to additional practice.

Q. What should I expect on my first lesson?
A. When you start our courses for the first time, you will start your session off the ice as you will be shown how to stay safe on the ice.

Q. I have completed level 10. What are my options after this?
A. Once you have completed level 10, you are able to move onto Passport level courses. These courses have three levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each level has three sections: Syncro, Free and Dance.

Q. I want to have private lessons. How do I book a private lesson?
A. You can start private lessons at any time. If there is a particular coach you would like to teach you, please leave a note with your name and contact number and requested coach to our reception, the coach will be in touch. If you don’t mind which coach you have, please leave your name in the lesson book at the reception, and a coach will get back to you.
